Welcome, new students! Please join us on Thursday, May 29 for a welcoming meet and greet. It will take place from 5:30-7:00.
Next year, I will go to a new school. Some schools in my district are changing. This means that some of my friends will stay at their schools, and some will go to new schools.
I feel a little nervous about this change. It is okay to feel this way. Change can be exciting and a little scary at the same time.
My new school will be ready to welcome me because I belong here.
The new school will have different teachers and new friends. I can meet new friends and learn new things. We all belong here.
Everyone at my new school will be kind and excited to meet me because I belong here.
The new school will have a playground, just like my old school. I can play with my new friends there because I belong here.
It’s great that I can practice being brave. I can say “hello” to new friends and invite them to play. They will be happy to meet me because we all belong here.
If I need help, I can ask my teacher or my grown up. They will be happy to help me because they care about me, and I belong here.
I can think about all the fun things I will do at my new school. I will learn new things, play games, and make new friends.
I am excited about my new school adventure! Change can be good, and I will be okay because I belong here.
