Kentwood Public Schools will be a place of excitement and enthusiasm for education and an appreciation for diversity. Everyone will be encouraged to be a creative force in the development of an educational system for the future through participation in continuous staff development opportunities.
Staff, students, parents, and community will establish higher levels of excellence and develop plans to meet these expectations on a regular basis. Board of Education members are elected by registered voters within the Kentwood Public Schools district and serve a four-year term.
The Kentwood Public Schools Board of Education generally meets every other Monday during the school year at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Administration Building, 5820 Eastern Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. View Board Meeting Schedule. Meeting agendas and minutes from previous meetings are available at the Administration Building.
Executive Order 2020-129 provides temporary authorization of remote participation in public meeting and hearings and temporary relief from monthly meeting requirements for school boards. In accordance with this Executive Order, the Kentwood Public School Board will meet electronically on October 12, 2020, starting at 6:30 pm.
The public will be able to view the meeting live, on YouTube using the link below. Public comment during the meeting will take place virtually as well. Members of the public that wish to address the Kentwood Board of Education should click on the following link and fill out the form. A reply will be sent to the submitted email address with information on how to connect to the virtual meeting.
