~ Attention Falcon Families ~
The KPS Chromebook Insurance Purchase Window is now open!
We are excited to be able to give families the opportunity to participate in the KCIP (Kentwood Chromebook Insurance Program).
Insurance may be purchased through Oct. 31, 2024.
Why is KCIP a good investment?
- KCIP costs $10 for free lunch-eligible students, $20 for reduced-price lunch students, and $30 for full-price lunch students. Families with multiple students will pay a maximum of $60.
- KCIP covers up to a total of two accidental damage incidents or two replacement chargers, as well as one incident of theft (with a police report) per school year
- The typical cost for repairing a display is $35, repairing a trackpad is $25, re-placing a keyboard is $30, and repairing a broken port or motherboard can cost up to $200. Up to two of these repairs are covered by KCIP as long as the damage was accidental.
- Last year, there were approximately 700 incidents and 125 students had more than one incident, resulting in fees with an average of $38 per incident.
To purchase and pay for KCIP for one or more students, please go to kentwoodps.revtrak.net and follow the steps to make a payment using a credit or debit card.
