K-12 Online Registration

To register for Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), please visit preschool.kentisd.org.  GSRP is a preschool program for 4-year-olds operated by the Kent ISD. This enrollment opens March 1, 2024. 

To register for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) classroom program, please click here. Please note, students must have an active IEP indicating ECSE classroom programming to register for this option.

NOTE: Young 5s and Kindergarten offered at all ten elementary schools - all day, every day. 

If you are a new or existing parent without a ParentVUE account, click here to create a ParentVUE account.  It only takes a few minutes and can be used for registration and checking important information about your students.  You must have an active email address to use Online Registration.

To complete the enrollment process, the following required documents must be provided. These documents may be uploaded during online registration or brought directly to the school office.

1. Photo ID of Enrolling Parent/Guardian - Acceptable forms include a valid driver’s license, State ID card,  Passport,  Green Card- Permanent resident card.

2. Proof of Residency
One of the following:
  • Homeowners: Current mortgage statement, property tax bill, warranty deed, or closing documents.
  • Renters: Signed current lease agreement, sometimes requiring a notarized landlord affidavit.

AND

One of the following:

Utility bills: One of the following recent utility bills within the last 30 days (gas, electric, cable, auto insurance, water bill etc.) with the name and  service address of the person enrolling the student.

3. Birth Certificate
4. Immunization Record
5. Previous School
     a. Report cards or Transcript
     b. Recent IEP or 504 Plan if the student received services

Kentwood Public Schools participates in the Kent ISD Schools of Choice plan. This is for those students who live within Kent County but outside of the boundaries of our district but would like to attend Kentwood Public Schools. We appreciate your interest in attending Kentwood! Please follow the steps below.

The School of Choice applications are now open and will remain open till May 10, 2024 at 4pm. Please click on the school of choice link where you will find information and the online form. 

May 13-17, 2024, districts with applications that exceed target number for SOC acceptance will hold a random draw. 

Districts will notify families of their acceptance by May 24, 2024. 

The deadline for parents to notify the choice district of acceptance or refusal is May 31, 2024. Please reach out to the Student Services Department if you have any questions.
