Leadership

The Board

The Boosters are governed by a Board of Directors. The Board consists of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Board is responsible for the relationship between the Boosters, KPS Administrators, coaches and the public while administering Booster activities in accordance with the law and school policy.

Members at Large

The Booster charter allows for 8 Members at Large. Members at Large represent the interests of the general membership, conduct projects and accept duties as assigned by the President and the Board of Directors. Members at Large participate in Executive Board meetings and vote on Booster activities and initiatives.

Committees

Committees account for the bulk of Booster activity. A board member oversees each committee and is responsible for completing committee activities with the assistance of volunteers or other board members. Committee work is where the most help and ideas are needed.

Leadership Descriptions

President

• Set Meeting Dates in coordination with Athletic Office
• Reside over General Membership Meetings
• Reside over Board Membership Meetings
• May call special meetings if advance notice is given as stated in constitution and bylaws
• Set Agenda for meetings
• Oversee Concessions - Manager and Scheduling
• Define Other Responsibilities

Vice President

• Reside over Fundraising
• May delegate for specific fundraising activities
• Manage other fundraising activities such as raffles and special drawings

Secretary

• Write, produce and distribute minutes of General and Board Meeting minutes
• Responsible for meeting reminders and confirmation of attendance
• Reside over communication for KAB website, KAB newsletter, Kentwood School News

Treasurer

• Responsible for carrying out proper accounting procedures for concessions
• Responsible for budgeting various expense accounts and managed accounts of KAB Organization
• Responsible for producing and distributing Treasurers Report for General and Board Meetings
• Maintains Bank Accounts
• Oversees collection and disbursement of funds for various athletic fundraising activities
• The above procedures may be delegated with proper supervision
