Excellence and Equity in Education

Welcome to Hamilton Early Childhood Center!

Hamilton Early Childhood Center has the privilege of preparing our youngest learners in Kentwood Public Schools. We know that early learning opportunities have the power to ignite a love for learning that goes well beyond preschool. At Hamilton, we strive to create a play-based, child-centered learning environment where students can develop skills in the areas of social-emotional, language, adaptive and early literacy and math. Our team believes in building strong relationships with students and families to optimize positive outcomes that will benefit students for a lifetime of learning and success.

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

GSRP is a program for 4 year olds that prepares children for kindergarten. GSRP helps each child learn physical, social, emotional, and thinking-related skills. The program provides a balanced program with teacher-directed and child-led activities. Learning happens in many settings, especially through play. GSRP offers outreach to the families through home visits, workshops and participation in the classroom,

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)

Our ECSE programs and services support children who have Individualized Education Plans (IEP). Our teachers and related service providers provide specially designed instruction to promote the growth and development of each child to reach their fullest potential.
